Vocational Qualification in Natural Studies WILDERNESS AND NATURE GUIDE, Muonio

Are you an outdoor enthusiast interested in outdoors skills, nature knowledge and guiding people in the wild? Study to be a qualified guide in our Wilderness and Nature Guide education in Lappia Muonio, Lapland.
Experience Lapland’s versatile and beautiful seasons of hiking, canoeing, skiing, mountain biking, snowmobiling or dog sledding. Learn outdoor leadership skills, productization of nature, safety skills and environmental skills.
You will also learn to plan safe adventures and activities in a quality manner. First aid skills and snow safety will be included as well.

The goal of your study path can be the whole (150 credit point) Wilderness and Nature Guide degree, or you can choose individual parts of the degree. We will plan and form a personal development plan together with you.
The studies contain both contact teaching (nine weeks) and online modules. The modules of the course will include hiking, canoeing and kayaking, mountain biking snowshoeing, back country skiing and optional snowmobiling or dog sledding. There will also be teaching about planning safe adventures, instructing nature activities, outdoor leadership skills, first aid, snow safety and guiding people in the wild in a quality manner.

Our team of teachers and instructors will all guide you along the path and there will be plenty of working time in the local companies as well.

Options of financially individual studies or apprenticeship studies are both available. In terms of apprenticeship requires that you are already connected to a guiding company in Lapland.
